The FP900 Thermo Systems comprises several
measuring cells for the determination of various thermal
values and TOA applications and the Central Processor FP90
as communication and control unit.
With a design focus on routine analyses, the FP90 has
already 15 standard methods stored. Additionally, users can
define and generate 35 more methods.
FP Measuring Cells and FP
Controller
The FP900 System comprises the
central processor FP90 and 6 optimized measuring cells
FP81HT, FP81C, FP82/84HT, FP83HT and FP85
FP81HT
The FP81HT is a universal
instrument for the determination of melting, boiling and
cloud point as well as for the investigation of the melting
range. Three independent, equivalent capillary slots for the
investigation of the melting behavior increase sample
throughput.
FP81C
The FP81C is a measuring cell
with three, relatively large capillaries for the
determination of cloud and clear point. Cloud and clear
points characterize nonionic surfactants (tensides).
FP82HT
The FP82HT is a hot stage for
thermal microscopy and measurement of light transmission.
The hot stage can be equipped wit a microscope or a
photomonitor and allows the optical investigation of
crystals and amorphous substances during phase transitions.
FP83HT
The FP83HT can be equipped
with standardized sample cups for the determination of
dropping and softening points of fats, resins and bitumen.
Measurements are compliant with AOCS, ASTM and DIN standard
methods.
FP84HT
The FP84HT is a hot stage for
thermal microscopy combined with a DSC. The cell allows
simultaneously the visual observation of the sample and the
measurement of thermal effects. Frequently, the cell is used
for the investigation of crystal melting, polymorphism and
liquid crystal transitions.
FP85
The FP85 is a Differential
Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) with permanently installed
reference crucible and rugged design. The measuring cell is
frequently employed to investigate the melting range of
transparent and non-transparent substances and their
crystallinity.
FP90
Processor
The FP90 Processor is the
communication centre of the FP900 Thermo System


FP62 Melting Point
Mettler Toledo provides
instruments for the
determination of refractive indices and melting points, the
two classical properties
for liquid and solid compound characterization. Based on a
light transmission method, the FP62 determines the melting
point of solids scientifically and unbiased
by an operator's subjective impression. The instrument
covers a broad application field, from teaching to quality
control. |
