NICOLET FT-RAMAN SPECTROMETER

The NicoletTM NXR 9650 spectrometer is designed for researchers who require the highest performance available from an FT-Raman spectrometer.

The heart of the NXR 9650 FT-Raman system is its liquid nitrogen-cooled NXR Genie germanium detector. This detector delivers twice the sensitivity, coupled with a tenfold increase in speed in comparison with previous generation detectors. The increase in detector speed permits high-speed scanning without sacrificing data quality, and now makes sample mapping, screening applications, and kinetic analysis readily accessible with FT-Raman spectroscopy. Alternatively, the NXR 9560 can be configured with a new thermoelectrically cooled InGaAs detector. A dual detector—using the InGaAs detector for quick uptime, and the NXR Genie detector for sensitivity—is also available.

Nicolet
Continuµm XL FT-IR imaging systems

Infrared imaging with the Nicolet Continuµm XL microscope reveals sample structure with incredible detail. The microscopes unique design allows for the rapid collection of high-resolution images, while maintaining the features and optical integrity of the original Nicolet Continuµm FT-IR microscope. When coupled with the Nicolet FT-IR series spectrometers, this imaging system provides extended performance, flexibility and ease of use.

The power of infrared microscopy lies in its ability to obtain molecular information on a microscopic scale. The technique is a combination of infrared spectroscopy and optical microscopy. Imaging brings a new dimension to this combination. By collecting massive amounts of spatially resolved spectra, both the identity and distribution of chemical components within a sample can be determined.
